WHERE TO STAY
As you plan your trip to Newport, keep in mind we will be hosting welcome drinks on Friday, September 5th and brunch on Sunday, September 7th. More details to come with wedding invitations.
There are numerous hotels, inns, and Airbnbs close to our venue, Belle Mer, on Goat Island. We tried to get group rates, but our research revealed that those rates weren’t even as good as booking on the hotel websites with no group rate. Here’s the deets…
Newport Harbor
Island Resort
This resort is steps from the venue and where Jess and Wes will be staying from Friday to Sunday. For our dates, rooms with one king bed start at $737/night, and rooms with two queen beds start at $764/night.
Newport Marriott
Hotel & Spa
This is one of the next closest hotels to the venue, just across the bridge. For our dates, rooms with one king bed or two queen beds start at $742/night or 92,000 points/night.
AIRBNB OPTIONS
The Ocean Front Resort Wyndham Long Wharf is the closest hotel on the other side of the bridge. It’s a timeshare, but available on Airbnb. The Wyndham Inn on Long Wharf is also close by. These, and numerous other Airbnbs, offer spaces for 1 to 16+ guests at more reasonable prices than the hotels.
INN OPTIONS
Our dates are not yet open for booking, but there are quite a few excellent inns we recommend in Newport, including Melville House (best guess about $250/night for a queen room), The Inns on Bellevue (best guess about $270/night for a queen room), and Serenity Inn Newport (best guess about $280/night for a queen room).
Newport
Trolley
Belle Mer has a very large parking lot for anyone who would prefer to drive to the venue and park.
A shuttle will be available from the hotels listed above to the venue. It will also stop at the turn-around next to the Red Parrot on Thames Street for anyone staying at inns or Airbnbs on the other side of town.
After the reception, guests will be able to take the shuttle back to hotels, the Red Parrot, or the after party.
